In the age of information, the rational mind ruled. Some would argue
that we are entering the age of inspiration where those who are able
to act on their multi-sensory inputs and intuitive leaps will become
the new power brokers. What if over-reliance on rational thought was
at the core of blocked passion, connection and full engagement?
We dedicate this issue to the inner prophetess. That part of our
selves that has access to a deep knowing beyond words and logic. We
encourage you to explore what your gut and/or soul is longing to
tell you.
Play on!

Tap Into More of Your Power |
 |
March is Women's History Month. As we celebrate
"her-story," we doff our hat to that particular wisdom often
attributed to the female sex - women's intuition. It's a
safe bet that the women who have influenced the course of
human events have relied on this special kind of knowing, in
conjunction with rational thought and intellectual analysis.
The Fortune Teller's Turban represents the intuitive
knowledge that includes the wisdom of the heart, body and
soul. It's the hunch that gives us a glimpse of the future.
It's the flash of insight that reminds us that we are part
of a bigger picture, and a larger purpose.
Tie on your Turban when:
- You need to be reminded that not everything is in
your control; and not everything can be scheduled or
rushed.
- The evidence points to one conclusion, but your gut
is telling you something different.
- You're sure that there's only one solution, one way
to get where you want to go.
- The future just looks like more of the same.
Turban vision reminds us that life is a dance. Each step we
take causes shifts and ripples around us. Forces outside
ourselves also impel or invite us to take the next step.
Putting on the Turban is not a matter of giving up control,
abdicating rational thought or practicing black magic. It is
a means of getting access to more of the power available to
us. And that applies to all of us, women and men alike!

Do Your Own Hat Reading (crystal ball optional) |
 |
|
Many people who encounter One Hat At A Time momentum cards
for the first time look at the illustration, flip the card
over and begin reading. For many this is a powerful
experience. However, if you want to see what wisdom is
waiting to be heard try using the cards in a non-linear way
that invites your intuition out to play.
- Think of a situation or decision that has you
feeling stuck and/or de-energized while you shuffle the
deck.
- Lay out 4 cards in a column.
- The first card suggests something in the PAST that
is keeping you blocked.
- The second card provides insight about something in
the PRESENT that is keeping you stuck or dis- engaged.
- The card in the third position is about something
you may receive in the FUTURE if you get through the
current situation.
- The final card suggests the ACTION necessary to move
into the future lightly and successfully.
Exercises such as this make room in your discernment process
for inspiration and insights that purely rational methods
cannot.

Quotes on Intuition |
 |
|
"If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would
appear to man as it is, infinite. For man has closed himself
up, till he sees all things thru' narrow chinks of his
cavern." ~William Blake
"Vision - The art of seeing things invisible."~Jonathan
Swift
It is the heart always that sees, before the head can
see." ~Carlyle Thomas

Hear Wisdom Emerge
|
|
|
|
Several months ago we had a great idea...let's create a
space where forward-looking group leaders (teachers,
facilitators, leaders, speakers, etc.) could share ideas,
get re-energized and create better experiences for
themselves and the people they come in contact with. We
bundled the Facilitators Forum with the purchase of the
Energizing Groups with Hats Guide and what
emerged was some pretty amazing stuff thanks to the wisdom
inherent in each facilitators forum participant.
We are officially launching the Facilitators Forum in its
own right. It currently contains 24/7 access to a bulletin
board, monthly hatstorming calls, a bi- monthly Facilitators
Forum ezine that contains information and tips specifically
designed for group leaders, and amazing customer support.
We'd like to give you a free audio file of a hatstorming
call so that you get an idea of how you might use this
resource. We believe that once you hear it, you'll
understand what a bargain the annual subscription rate is at
$79
I'd like to hear a hatstorming call... |
